Amazing Progress

Hello dear friends. I’m writing this to give you all an update on the new upcoming EP.

As you all know, I’ve been asking for donations. It was a really tough first week of asking. You must know that I hate asking for money. It completely shatters my pride. To sit up and say, “Yeah, I need help financially” is something that does not come easy. I think that’s the case for most people. But it made it even worse when I saw that no one was donating anything (this is not a guilt-trip blog post, BELIEVE me). But see, there’s this thing that I have to learn called ‘patience.’ Because about a week/week and a half later, I started receiving some donations. And then quite a bit of donations. I was blown away. I am blown away. People have since continuously expressed to me their desire to donate. I am humbled. Very much.

So thank you to all who have donated.

And for those interested, below is the details of how much I need and how much we’ve collected so far:

Things one needs to pay for when putting a record out

1. Recording Costs (_Check_)

2. Mixing/Engineering Costs (_Check_)

3. Production Costs (__)

The “Production Costs” entails designing album artwork, getting them printed, and getting them duplicated. For this project, the Production Costs is what costs the most.

I’m getting 1000 copies of this EP printed (a ton, I know) and through Discmakers (one of the best) it will cost approximately $1,169.63. Wow.

What I’ve raised so far

$1105 (HOLY GOODNESS! PRAISE JESUS!)

-$350 for mixing/engineering

= $755

So all I need now is $415 to complete the donation amount. That is insanely awesome.

So there’s the status! I can’t believe all the donations that have come in. Its beautiful to see the love I’ve received financially. I can’t wait to get this EP into everyone’s hands. It belongs to everyone. It makes me very very excited to know that it will be here before we know it.
